キリストは、神の御姿であられるのに、
神としてのあり方を捨てられないとは考えず、
ご自分を空しくして、しもべの姿をとり、
人間と同じようになられました。
ピリピ人への手紙 ２章６～７節
Though Christ was in the form of God,
he did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,
being born in the likeness of men.
